About Music
Rediscovery can often be a very pleasant experience. Most of us have likely revisited an activity or product and are quickly reminded how much we have enjoyed it in the past. For many of us, music is a prime example of this. Our customers regularly come into our store wanting to put together or upgrade a stereo system. The story we often hear from customers is how much they enjoyed listening to music in the past, but then life got too busy. As a result, music listening became overlooked and somewhat forgotten. Now they are motivated to change all of that and once again enjoy music in the same way as before.
Music has been a key part of the human condition for thousands of years. Many studies have discovered the physical, emotional, and mental benefits of listening to music. Listening to music touches the heart and soul. Major events and public gatherings are almost always accompanied by music. These events include weddings, memorial services, graduations, church services, sporting events, parties, receptions, family/friend gatherings, parades, etc.
Until roughly a century ago, there was very little music available other than live music. Today, we have the good fortune of having beautifully reproduced music in our home to go hand in hand with live music. Whether you prefer vinyl records, music streamers, compact disc players, broadcast FM radio, or all of the above, today’s home stereo systems can make instruments and voices feel like they are right in your room! At Bradford’s Home Entertainment, we have always enjoyed making that happen for you.
About Home Theater
So, you enjoy movies, concert videos, TV programs, sporting events, and really love the sound in the theater. After listening to the internal speakers in your TV, there is the realization that the internal sound quality of your TV is not very satisfying. Looking for a quick fix and perhaps taking the path of least resistance, you contemplate adding a soundbar. And then the voice of the beloved former ESPN College Football Game Day co-host Lee Corso may pop into your head and say, “Not So Fast.”
Soundbars certainly have their place in improving the sound quality of a TV. It is also easy to overlook the tremendous infrastructure that has been put in place to bring theater-like sound quality into your home. The early days of the audio/video marriage were rudimentary for sure (although exciting at the time), but the potential for bringing theater sound into your home now is not something to be ignored. Movies and TV soundtracks today are encoded with discrete, multi-channel sounds. Our audio/video receivers can decode these multi-channel sounds and power high performance speakers. These high performance speakers can be strategically placed in your room to create pinpointed home theater sound quality!
The home theater structure we have available today did not materialize overnight. It resulted from the culmination of extensive development over many decades – best not forgotten and all there for the taking.
